Plz somebody tell me about women's periods?-I
want to know all about periods, so that when i get married, I could
help my wife physically and mentally. All i know is that all girls have
to bear a terrible pain every month.
Is it avoidable?
Is it good or Bad?
Do they feel depressed during this time?
How should i show my love during this time?
Should i leave her alone?

To begin with, you are absolutely amazing for being this concerned. Very thoughtful of you.
Yes, most women do have to bear through terrible pain during their periods, but you will too. She will almost inevitably be moody and emotional on and around the time of her period. Brace yourself, and be forgiving.
A period can be avoidable in several ways. Continuous birth control pills can help reduce periods and sometimes they can be completely stopped. By continuous I mean this: Birth control pills are a daily dose of hormones and the dose is sometimes alternated by the week. Usually, a woman will take three straight weeks of hormones, and a week of placebo pills, ones that have no hormones. By skipping the placebo pills, a girl may avoid her period.
Also, the Depo-Provera shot is another form of birth control in the form of a shot every few months. Many women do not experience periods while they are on "the shot".
Another way that women stop periods altogether is by means of a hysterectomy. A hysterectomy is the removal of some or all of the internal reproductive organs and is irreversible. Most women do not do this until they have already had all the children they want, and sometimes not even until there are medical complications. It is a major surgery.
The hormones that prevent periods does not hurt her, it is not bad. Her body continues to function normally, just without the ability to reproduce. Birth control can be stopped and she will soon be just as fertile as before she took them.
Some women experience emotional ups and downs before, during and sometimes even after their periods. They can be depressed, moody, irritable and are usually very uncomfortable in their bodies. The menstrual cycle can make a woman very bloated, achy, fatigued and like I said, extremely emotional.
It is not easy to judge how to show your love to your girlfriend or wife while she's on her period. Not all women are the same. My boyfriend has learned after five years of supporting me that the best way to show his love for me is to offer to take care of household duties when he knows I'm physically uncomfortable, tuck me into the bed with a heating pad on my back or stomach, bring me medication (tylenol, midol, pamprin or sometimes, when it's bad, darvocet), and last but not least and most importantly, he *asks* what he can do. If I say there is nothing he can do, he usually stays by my side, but doesn't touch me unless I ask him to. I usually appreciate how much he cares, and since I know he's miserable watching me being miserable, I ask him to go play a video game or put a movie in. This pain usually only lasts a day or two. She should be back on her feet and feeling better even before her period is over.
But some women just want to be left alone. You will just have to get to know her style first.
