Bleeding between periods?

Bleeding between periods?-Here are my symptoms, i am in my 20's and have not had these symptoms before, I am not pregnant that I know of yet.

-bleeding between periods for almost 4 months, occurs roughly every second week

Best Answer:  It could honestly be many things. If you are not on birth control then getting on it might help regulate.. i went through that irregularity when i was younger. then i went on birth control for a year and was able to get off of it after my periods regulated.
it could also be a pregnancy. I really think that you need to go to the obgyn no matter what and see what is going on.. they are probably going to ask you to take a urine test.. if they do take it and also ask for a blood test.. this is to make 100% sure that you are not pregnant.. there are a lot of women who can determine pregnancy with a urine test. they will also check you for anything else that might be the cause of the bleeding.. good luck and please don't waste time.. if you are pregnant then you need to know ASAP. -had bad cramps in lower abdomen that felt like period pains but where alot worse and did not ease

- have suffered back pain since bleeding starting between periods for last few months

Update: no not on the pill, have been in the past when I was alot younger for overy problems but have not had any problems since and have been off the pill for over 5 years now
