What are the signs for cervical cancer and if not that what causes inrrgular bleeding between periods?-im

mom side ever had cervical cancer but my dad side i don't know anything
he was adopted. i never had problems until i had a miscarriage feb 22nd
2008 and a IUD surgically removed because it went throw my vaginal wall
to my stomach. well ever since those things i been having irrgular
bleeding and spotting between periods and im afraid of cervical cancer
because my mother-in-law just died from it.
what can it be? what are
signs? what can i do? i already checked with doctor they didnt do much
but checked blood count and left it at that.
Update:
also i do bleed alittle sometimes after intercourse.
Update 2:
i
did have a d&c after my misscarrage. also i have had ultra
sounds/sono to check my utrus and all blood work all but dont know why i
bleeding so much
You should get a pap smear and pelvic exam to set your mind at ease. I
find it troubling that your doctor did not do these things routinely
when you last saw him, as a woman your age should have these done
yearly.
Your irregular periods are probably residual issues from the IUD perforation, and the miscarriage Your body is trying to right itself after the trauma and get back into a normal rhythm. If you did not have a D & C after the miscarriage, you may need one to remove tissue that is not shedding during your periods.
Sometimes bleeding after intercourse is caused by inflammation of the cervix, and does not indicate cancer, but that is another symptom that leads me to advise you to get a thorough pelvic check up as soon as possible. Preferably from another doctor.
